Senior Construction Estimator
Summary:
Analyzes blueprints, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bidding construction projects, while applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, and processes. The Estimator needs to have knowledge, design to budget validation, scheduling, and value engineering.
Responsibilities:
-
Solicits and prepares bid for a contract.
-
Maintains proposal status information for outstanding quotations and proposals.
-
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
-
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
-
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
-
Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, and selecting vendors or subcontractors.
-
Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
-
Prepares preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based on final plans and specifications.

Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
-
Researches and evaluates subcontractors based on price, quality, selection, service, support, etc.

Communicates with management to evaluate contract performance.
Knowledge:

Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in multi-trade estimation for design-build construction of commercial building government projects both in the US and internationally.

Extensive knowledge of construction trades, methods, standards, equipment, blueprint reading and interpretation, project protocol, contracting and safety laws.
Construction Project Manager
Summary:
Plan, direct, coordinate, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization and management.
Responsibilities:
-
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
-
Consult with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
-
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
-
Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
-
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
-
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
-
Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
-
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
-
Oversee workers who complete specific parts of the project.
Knowledge:

Materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in blueprints, drawings, and models

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in engineering or similar field

Minimum ten (3) years’ experience related to construction, design, and management required
Staff Accountant
Summary:
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
Responsibilities:
-
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness
-
Maintain all vendor files, enter, allocate and pay invoices
-
Maintain bank reconciliations for all entities, review cash disbursement journal, and maintain the general ledger
-
Plan and forecast for the quarterly and year-end closing
-
Assist CPA with preparation of corporate and personal tax returns
-
Prepare requisitions and work in progress reports
-
Audit and maintain the general ledger for all LLCs, reconcile bank statements, and allocate purchases and payments to proper accounts
Knowledge:
-
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Abilities:

Requirements:
